Vedic Philosophy by Kripaluji Maharaj

Jagadguru Kripalu Ji Maharaj (the 5th Original Jagadguru), was a multi-million spiritual guru in India who taught exalted, but comprehensible, Vedic philosophy.

The founder of Prem Mandir and the leader of the Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat, he interprets the Vedas, Bhagavad Gita and Shrimad Bhagavatam as focusing on Prem Bhakti as the ultimate purpose of spirituality, i.e. a selfless and pure loving relationship to God.



His philosophy as found in some of his works such as Prem Ras Siddhant directs devotees on the path to blissful eternity of worship and surrender.

Kripaluji Maharaj detailed the karma theory, with the soul being eternal but encapsulated by maya the illusionary power that brings attachment and lack of knowledge. One can only be liberated through the grace of God and genuine devotion which will revivify the soul in the real character of being the eternal servant of God.

Bhakti as the Supreme Path

Kripaluji Maharaj was a proponent of many spiritual practices but he regarded Prem Bhakti as the highest and available path. By meditating lovingly on the divine couples of Radha and Krishna, or Roopdhyan meditation, devotees develop a close relationship with God.
